Beverly, En La Esquina
Listen to Beverly En La Esquina
The Last
When Beverly, En La Esquina was in the can and wrapped up, I could never have guessed that it would be my last album. Producing music had been the most delightful time of my life, and I was thriving. The song “Se Me Va A Oxidar” had produced enough attention for me to garner some laurels and head forward to who knows how far…
Another Move
However, life indeed is that wonderful box of chocolates, and making more music was not in my cards. Again, family took precedence over everything, and in a matter of no time, we were moving away from Atlanta and heading off to Maryland. The beauty of being in love and loved, is that no matter what, nothing is a sacrifice. When our loved ones need us to react in an immediate way because it is important, we do that. Period. There are no questions, there are no doubts. That is how it happened for me, and overnight, my music could no longer be a part of me.
Moving to Maryland meant leaving musicians who had taken me years to find and “fine tune a la Beverly” behind. It meant that to continue, I would have had to be on the road, heading back to Atlanta or Miami, where they were. Nope! I shut the music out. It kept buzzing in my ear and then screaming at me, but I said no and I meant it. After awhile, the music went silent, but it’s still there, and sometimes it quickly says hello.
Filled with Spice
Beverly, En La Esquina was what the industry wanted. It was filled with spice, a couple red hot ones, and yet at its core, it represented me well. It is a fun-loving experience, fast and dynamic rhythms that make you want to dream and in your heart stay young forever! This album can be found and heard online at cdbaby.com.
Over time several samplers carried some of my music. It was a real ride!!!!
