"Vineyards of La Cadiere D’Azur, France” 36” x 48” – Oil on canvas
– I love this large painting, and the fact that I did it entirely with a palette knife gives me satisfaction. On a sunny day in Provence, while tasting wine I strolled outside to see more closely the beautiful pinks of a heavily flowered bush. The quaint house in the background is of my imagination and substituted an unattractive storage facility. The final composition is more akin to reality in that region.
“Vanessa’s Avila” 16” x 20” – The Avila is a main peak in a mountain range that borders the city of Caracas on its northern side. In the city of Caracas one’s true north, is one’s true guide, in other words, a person can’t get lost there. Just look up and the mountains guide you. As you can see, I have painted the Avila mountain range several times. It is a favorite amongst those that know and love the valley of Caracas.
